Karla Rava

Karla’s experience in event planning dates back ten years, where she began as a “Liaison Officer” for an International Embassy. She collaborated with the dedicated staff and selected government officials to produce high-end events for prominent community figures, celebrities, diplomats, foreign leaders, cultural attaches and royalty. She was an essential asset to the Consul General and stellar in her ability to execute cultural fairs, fundraisers and diplomatic galas.

Karla holds a Masters Degree in Sociology with a concentration in diplomatic public relations from California State University, Los Angeles. She was the president of the International Sociological Honor Society- Alpha Kappa Delta-AKD “To investigate humanity for the purpose of service” and the recipient of the Golden Eagle Award of Excellence for her contribution to the community and her academic achievements.

Karla was also a Sociology Journalist for a  Caribbean News Magazine based in Los Angeles that mass circulates in the US, UK and the Caribbean. The magazine provides a fresh perspective on pop-culture, headline news, music, entertainment, politics, legal advice and public affairs. She utilized her strong educational foundation in sentence structure, diction and composition to write articles that platform the sociological zeitgeist. She continues to write mainstream and academic articles today as well as novels and short stories.

She is a jet-setter and loves to travel, she is versed in conversational French, Spanish and Belizean  Creole. When she is not planning events, she enjoys practicing her cello and wrestling with her 3 year old son. She is a big supporter of Peps and still meets weekly with her child’s play group.
