Karla and her interns helped me promote my Bellevue store grand opening with a fashion show themed Film Noir. Karla met with me many times throughout our 6 months of planning. She always came prepared with new ideas, information, and she was very involved in the whole process; Karla truly understands how the fashion industry works. In addition to the logistics of planning, she secured our celebrity guests: Miss Washington 2011 — Angelina Kayyalaynen — and Jenni Hogan, a host and anchor for KIRO News. Karla brought Children’s Hospital-Bellevue in as a non-profit, so when we auctioned off Jenni’s dress, the proceeds went to the hospital. On the day of the event, she was present, supportive, and fixed any unexpected problems. I would recommend Karla to anyone in the future.
Aster Events was an unbelievable asset to our latest event, ::TSAR:: A Neodandi Fashion Performance. Karla Rava, owner and lead director of services was extremely professional and kind in all needs and requirements. She came to the table with great ideas, a positive attitude and creative solutions that made working with her fun and easy. Aside from the record she keeps of all the work done by herself and her team, Karla landed several in-kind donations for our event and was able to secure a non-profit to donate to on short notice. The proficiency of Aster Events is wonderful and the execution of duties the day of the event were fantastic. Karla and her interns were a delight to work with. Karla did a great job securing sponsors and giveaways for our event. I especially appreciated the timeline she created, making sure we were always on target. It was wonderful having her interns to tackle some tedious work while she and I focused on the larger tasks. Karla was supportive of my vision for the event and was actually the emcee of our stage! She introduced the speakers, announced the giveaways and coordinated the flow of the whole program. Karla is truly an event planning extraordinaire. I’ve attended several of her exclusively planned events, one a baby shower in my honor and I was so moved by her thoughtfulness and devotion to her craft. She has a knack and a love for parties that shines through in her impeccable work. No detail is ever overlooked and she can be both remarkably original as well as embrace tradition with her designs. I can’t say enough how engagingly enthusiastic she is, quite literally “the life of the party!” On a practical note I should also mention that Karla skillfully knows how to strike a bargain with suppliers and venue owners to accommodate a fabulous event on a tight budget. I would hire Karla in a heart beat to plan any personal or business event of mine. I’d know I could trust her fully to work her magic time and time again. Finding funds to keep the Log House Museum on Alki Beach has always been daunting. However, by turning to the expertise of event planner, Karla Rava, we were able to present a first rate gala event, and raise more money than at previous events we’d planned on our own. Karla planned and executed an evening gala that included working with a committee of board members, coordinating with the venue personnel, securing business sponsors, and advising on the program of the evening’s events. She brought us into contact with a number of important resources, including an antiques appraiser, a jazz band, and experts in the fields of audio-visual presentations, story tellers and history experts. Not only did her expertise as an event planner bring organization, clear expectations and bright ideas to our gala, but her innate sense of style and knowledge of diplomatic functions gave the event a bit of sparkle and star power. Karla worked very hard; she was completely reliable, and on time in all aspects of the planning. As a result, attendees had a marvelous evening of fun and good food, a large amount of funds was raised, and we found a treasured asset in the talents of Karla Rava.
